Privacy Policy, Security Statement…Green Guidelines?

In case you hadn’t noticed, environmentalism is en vogue. And if you think 2007 was “green”, well 2008 is going to be enough to make a leprechaun blush. Climate change and alternative energy are sure to be big political issues next year, and large numbers of consumers are going to be looking for ways to do their part by choosing products and services from companies that exhibit environmental awareness.
So if your company has a little green in it, 2008 is a good time to toot your own horn. A lot of companies are including information about their eco-friendly practices on their websites. A small icon or link does the trick just fine. If you’re a little lacking in the green department, the beginning of the year is a great time to roll out new initiatives (and then announce them in your blog, newsletter, or home page).
